ABOUT US

Are you really manufacturing in Canada?

Yes, we really are. Every NorthTone string will be handcrafted in our facility in Sudbury, Ontario. We're building Canada's own dedicated guitar string manufacturing company because we believe world class strings should be made here at home.

When are you launching?

We're getting so close! Building Canada's own guitar string manufacturing company takes time, and we're focused on getting every detail right before we ship our first set. Join our waitlist and you'll be the first to hear when launch day is announced.

Where can I buy your strings?

At launch, you'll be able to purchase NorthTone Strings directly from our website as well as at select independent music stores across Canada. Follow us on social media or join our waitlist to be the first to know when they're available.

How do I get on the waitlist?

Just scroll to the bottom of this page and enter your email to join the waitlist. You'll get early access to launch updates, product announcements, and a few surprises along the way.

Will your strings be available in music stores?

Absolutely. While we'll launch online first, partnering with independent music stores is a big part of our long-term plan. If there's a shop you'd love to see carry NorthTone Strings, let us know. We're always looking for great retail partners.

Are you going to sell merch?

Definitely! We're putting the final touches on our first collection of NorthTone apparel and accessories. Join the waitlist to get early access to the Founders Collection.

ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS

Will you be making bass strings too?

Yes! Bass strings are definitely on our roadmap. Our initial focus is six-string electric and acoustic guitar strings, but we plan to expand the lineup as we grow.

What about a coated string option?

We're starting with our core line of uncoated electric and acoustic strings because we want to perfect the fundamentals first. Coated strings are absolutely on our roadmap, but our focus at launch is building exceptional strings that deliver outstanding tone, feel, and consistency from day one.

What about mandolin, banjo, ukulele, lap steel, or pedal steel strings?

We'd love to make strings for every player eventually. Our first priority is building the best electric and acoustic guitar strings we possibly can, then we'll expand into other instruments based on demand.

What about flatwounds, monel, or classical strings?

We'll be starting with our core electric and acoustic guitar line, but specialty strings like flatwounds, monel, and classical are all possibilities for the future. We keep a close eye on what players are asking for, so keep the suggestions coming.
